The Téng Shé are a specialized strikeforce of Aquilan psychics posing as the Diomikato Deities psiball team.

Organization[]

Due to Diomikato's low population, the average psychic birth is around 5-7 psychics to the planet's almost 700,000 inhabitants, because of these low numbers creating any psychic force for the Aquilan Legions proved to be inefficient. Instead with the cooperation of Serpens nominators, these Aquilan psychics were put into a specialized training program that combines the best techniques of Serpens and Aquilan regimes - the highest level of Serpens psionic education and extensive training in the Aquilan principles of discipline and squad cohesion. Due to their telepathic linking, in combat the Téng Shé operate in such complete tandem as if they to be single entity.

The Téng Shé is overseen by a single Serpens executor, who has been given complete discretional authority by their house. When not on a mission, they are further supported by a group of specially assigned practitioners who oversee the mental and physical well-being of the Téng Shé. Operation of the Téng Shé is done jointly between the two houses: Serpens controls the squad directly through the Fates’ authority, and on the Aquilan side the group is umbrella’d into the Convocation's Committee on Psiball.

Diomikato Deities[]

The cover for the Téng Shé is the Diomikato psiball team, the Diomikato Deities. This cover was chosen due to the matching number of members of the Téng Shé to the players on a psiball team, as well as frequent travel requirements. The squad itself makes up the player base of the team, and practitioners pose as coaches and trainers. In an effort to maintain their cover, the team routinely plays below its true ability.

The Deities are known as a slightly above-average, playoff contending team, but are infrequent championship contenders. The team's transport ship, HAS You Miss One Hundred Percent of the Psiballs You Don’t Telekinetically Push, doubles as their base of operations.
